Traditionally,bakingpowder was made from sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) & cream of tartar (COT) like ours is . However as CoT is expensive, food manufacturers researched an alternative and soon aliminium compounds started replacing CoT in commercial baking powder. Aluminium does not belong in food &kudos to you for making a switch to the traditional, pure &chemiacl-free recipe!
